Replacement stereo for Jap import, Nissan Tiida

I paid a lot less for a similar system, including TV/DVD etc. Just shopped around and went for an end of line unit. Didnt need the latest model at 3 times the cost. Also prefer the fact the screen can close away so it is not as visible on the dash when parked. Total cost for unit and for wiring into my Windom was $279.00.

Unit I have doesnt have GPS/Navigation though. I preferred to get a seperate dedicated unit for this as I often swap vehicles or hire cars when away and I can take a portable unit with me.

It seems an awful lot of money for a no name brand that MUST be installed by them (or another sparkie) or the manufacturers warranty is invalid.

I was looking at something else listed by that member and thought exactly the same. Why do i only get a warrantee/quarantee if they instal it!Not very practicle unless you live round the corner from the vendor.I'd be looking elsewhere.
