As above, prob only the clutch cable.

mugenb20b, Jul 15, 2:22am
It sounds like the clutch annihilated itself.

skin1235, Jul 15, 2:22am
bit late at night now, but wonder if the cable has jammed in engaged position, may have popped the end of the outer from the seat or split a roller type thing
clutch fully or 80% disengaged, syncro's aren't spinning so gear cannot slot in

akd100, Jul 15, 2:22am
Lol ok boss!It has been a fantastic car so can't complain, but just the blimmin week I need a car, grrrr.

skin1235, Jul 15, 2:23am
could even be in the pedal box, something come adrift and jamming the pedal down

akd100, Jul 15, 2:23am
Ok thats sounding better. What sort of price would that be around.

skull, Jul 15, 2:23am
The pedal is either stuck up or it is on the floor, you are never going to get a diagnosis if you can't give proper answers.

skin1235, Jul 15, 2:25am
skull

chebry, Jul 15, 2:26am
sounds like a snapped clutch cable not a biggie if youre handy with tools

skull, Jul 15, 2:27am
Post #20 says it is stuck up.

modie61, Jul 15, 2:27am
Sounds like a majority on the cable then.

akd100, Jul 15, 2:28am
What! I've always said it is stuck up.

skin1235, Jul 15, 2:28am
new cable and fit! no idea $, refir cabel outer to socket and fix in position, 5 minutes and flutter your eyes, check and repair pedal box problem - in gissy, $55 hr or thereabouts, possibly 2 hrs

akd100, Jul 15, 2:28am
Ok update.I can get it into all gears.

skull, Jul 15, 2:29am
Post 16 says the gear lever does not move like normal with the engine off

modie61, Jul 15, 2:30am
But there is an update skull .

skin1235, Jul 15, 2:30am
but then you said stuck on floor, most people assume the floor to be down, whereas you are possibly saying No1 it is up, under the dash somewhere lol

clarify please, did the pedal return or just flop under your push and not come back

akd100, Jul 15, 2:31am
Ok sorry, to me stuck up and on the floor are the same thing. So to stop any confusion it is stuck in as in pushed in as though I was going to change gears.

skull, Jul 15, 2:31am
So you did not write post #13 !

akd100, Jul 15, 2:31am
I just rechecked and it is.It wasn't earlier, but I am able to get all gears now.

modie61, Jul 15, 2:32am
If the cable breaks and the pedal goes to the floor,it looks like it has gone up because it swings in an arch.

akd100, Jul 15, 2:32am
Yes, but like I said I just went out and rechecked.

akd100, Jul 15, 2:33am
Ok it has not come back out, I pushed it in to change gears and it never came back out, stuck in.

skin1235, Jul 15, 2:33am
with the engine off!

be careful what you do from here
if aksed to put it into a gear and turn the key, do not put it in a forward gear if you are close to the shed or house or someone elses vehicle in front of you -0 cos it might start and drive forward and you cant stop it

skull, Jul 15, 2:33am
If questions were answered correctly there would be no need for an update. Simple questions have been asked and confusing or incorrect answers have been given, a broken clutch cable could have been diagnosed in a few posts otherwise.
