Anyone here know much about these engines, are they a good engine and what is the fuel consumption like with this model.
Any good information appreciated

this is the most economical twin cam, straight 6 skyline engine produced.

could be, but its bigger brother the Rb25de neo produces more for the same. moot point really, bigger the block, less it has to work

If you want the worst of both worlds, go for the Neo engine coupled with the CVT Transmission.

Really! Didnt think there was anything wrong with the SR Range of Neo Motors. Ive had both the 16VE and 20VE and didnt have ANY troubles for either of them. The SR20VET would be fun in the right car.

perhaps they were talking about the Neo-Di engine, not the Neo VVL engine. The NeoVVL engines are pretty damn good.

Yes SR20VET would be mint to have, but realistically they are that rare that you are better off making one out of a VE head on a DET block.

You are confusing Neo-DI with Neo. Neo is variable valve timing much like Toyota's VVT. Neo-VVL is variable valve lift like Honda's VTEC. Neo-DI is direct injection like Mitsubishi's GDI. Three different technologies using a similar name. But of course you would know this.

morrisman I know someone with a VET in their 4WD P11 Primera. Was out of a GT edition x-trail. goes VERY well.

yea, 280hp on 6 psi boost is nothing to be ashamed about. Thats factory output.
