I have a 2002 gtb twin turbo and i get 550ks per 55l and it has done over 600ks. Surely a non turbo will get even better than that.

outbidyou2, Jun 22, 6:29am
Thats good, I can only get around 450kms, yours manual!

neo_psy, Jun 22, 6:37am
Depends how you drive it - around town or commuting, the inertia of the AWD makes it thirstier than you'd think.

I've a 93 impreza awd wagon 1.8l they only JUST gives me 500km to 45litres mainly motorway driving

edit: surely mileage is getting better in modern cars though

thanks for the help

Well, Subaru have used that EJ20 donk for about a million years - I'm not sure how much better they could make the economy.

Plus, they tend to get heavier with more fruit.

TBH - I wouldn't look at Subarus if I was worried about economy.

Yeah it surely is a manual.

misewell get a turbo version we had a non turbo around the same year etc hardly better then a turbo one with half less the power

sssssssssssssssssssst-BOOM!

ceedoubleyou, Jun 25, 10:53am
if you are after economy, don't buy a Subaru, AWD is always gunna be thirsty and pre BL Legacy handled like FWD cars. My BL 3.0R Legacy drinks 30L for approx 270kms around town, doesn't have the grunt of the turbo, but just about as thirsty, but a really good handler, neutral as.

tazcsv, Jun 25, 9:45pm
What a load of rubbish about the pre BL models being like fwd are you serious! Those figures show your 3.0l drinks more fuel than my twin turbo to. Yes you may pay extra for awd but its a small price to pay for the safety and handling you get from it.
