Hi all Im thinking of buying a Mitsi Chariot '98, kms are 150,000 but im just wondering if its a good vehical to buy! oviusly for a family. Please let men know of any common problems anyone had or any better vehicals I should look at.

As per above. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT THEY ARE CHEAP FOR A REASON. They can send you broke even trying to keep them running properly if you get a bad one.

I dont know if its a GDI could you tell me how I can find out without hasseling the owner! We all know some people may just want to sell their cars at all costs. (keeping info to themselves) I have heard horror storys about those GDIs too but never experienced it.

Go look at the car or ask him to take a picture of the engine bay. There will be big GDi letters stamped into the large plastic engine cover.

GDI decals in places like the front mudguards, tailgate etc can also give the game away. But yes engine cover definitely. The check engine light on the dash might too lol.
