96' van with a 2.8 diesel engine . are these the same motors that came out in the 93' LN106's! And do they drop into the trucks ok .or are there differences like throttle, mounts etc. Cheers.

. sump& pick up , oil filter housing, exhaust manifold. steelengine mount brackets. etc.butjust put both motors side by side. lookclosely & swap parts over.before trying to fit.andis sweet.costsabit in gaskets. etcbutdoable.just look before you leap. :)

Cheers, thanks man. The luxy truk hasn't actually got a 2.8 in it at the moment . its got a 2LT in it. And I was just looking to upgrade . I wonder if some the 2L stuff is interchangabe with the 3L stuff! I'll have to do what you reckoned and have a side by side look see. Cheers.

2L and 3L look identical, so parts should be interchangable.

Pre 89 2L-T is different to the post 90 I think most 2.4L /2.8L /3L 90 onwards to about 96 are the same block mountings in commercial type vehicles
