Same as the rally cars went away from group a class cars had a few good years now everybody is realising its just a load of crap.Havent watched this rubbish in years so i wont miss it.

Agreed.They need to get away from their "new" car ofthe future nonsense and go back to Group C rules. ie, basic cars with big flares and wings, and NO electronic trickery or in-car adjustability (such as roll/sway bar adjustments, fuel load adjustments, ignition curve adjustments, etc, etc). To become atrractive to everyone again, they need to get back to a car that is almost identical to that which you can buy in the showroom, unlike the "shell on a oversized go-cart with F1-style electronics" we currently see at the moment.
And, the cost of racing/running these cars would drop more than 90%.

Been looking at the NZv8 website have ya Ive heard that even the suzuki swifts have joined with the supertourers as for 20 cars who is going to drive them because most drivers have signed with supertourers

the formula you put forward exists, it is called historic racing. IT is a lot better than the modern stuff as well.(edited to ad) there is no tony cocrane either makes twice as good.

What I cant work-out is the instant price tag claims. Take a new commodore, gut, dump it, add some techo lookn blue & red alloy bits, slap in a bulldozer roll-over cage, bang in race fuel, its a million $ race car! wow J.
