Just purchased this vehicle and the airbag light is on been quoted on a few different possibilities but holden have told me that if there is a rip in the drivers seat where the airbag is that the light may be on for that reason! does any body know anything more on that ! does anybody know a place to get that sorted cheaply if possible ! Stop guessing and get the airbag system scanned then and only then you can get a exact idea of whats wrong and cost to fix.

I think you should avoid the local Holden dealership! As above a simple diagnostic scan will save the guess work and help diagnose the problem. There are quite a few common faults with the srs system in this vehicle
