1999 vrg v6 hasa we miss at 80kmh could it be a coil pack issue or maybe something with the gdi its just a work hack so not wanting to spend heaps

Sorry, can you confirm that it's a GDi engine! And is it manual or auto!

VR-G V6! no such model exists! It's either the VR-G with the GDI 4cyl or the VR-4 with the twin turbo V6.

I don't know if you're using 91 octane fuel, but if it's GDI (gasoline direct injection), it's very important to run those engines on 95+ octane fuel otherwise you'll foul up the spark plugs & generally cause excessive carbon build-up in engine, resulting in a very poor-running vehicle. My cousin has a GDI Mitsubishi Airtrek & one day asked me how much I thought the cost of reconditioning his engine would be. I asked him why & he said it was running like crap. Turns out he was using 91. I advised him to use 95 & now he says it drives like a different car.

dude got the car in drive way and its a vrg galant and has a v6 under the hood

might try that and get some new plugs i only do 60k a week in it so may just need a decent run
