I have a 1997 Mitsi Diamante 2.6l automatic. The automatic is coming up with a fault flash. It drops from 4th to 3rd gear and the neutral flashes while stillin drive. Once you stop, turn engine off and then restart all ok. I have been told it is a sensor fault. Does anybody know what sensor it might be! Cheers Dennis

No. The fault code can only be retreived by a scan tool and only then you'll find out what the actual fault is.

More then likely 22, input shaft speed sensor

Have had the car diagnosed but can't remember which of the 2 sensors it was. Have replaced the sensor on top of the gearbox near the filter but need to know where to find the other one. Please help. thanks
