if your bike fails a wof, do they enter that in to ltsa as fail and the reason for it! or do they just leave it till you come back with it fixed! What if you dont take it back after 28 days, is it entered as a fail and why, or do they just dump the paper work, and thats the end of it.

I am probably wrong but from what I remember it will be entered and you will have 28 days to rectify and return for completion and issue of the WOF, but after that it resets and you must pay again. Hopefully a cleverer cookie will come along and clarify for you soon.

was wondering, if you ended up taking it to another testing station, would they know what it originally failed on

reggienz, Sep 5, 4:56pm
Yes and yes. You take it for a wof check and it's entered onto the system, You take it elsewhere you pay again and the fault is still on the computer so the new tester will see it.

therafter1, Sep 5, 5:20pm
Only if he/she issues a WOF.

toot5, Sep 5, 5:39pm
so if they dont issue a wof, their wont be any record of the failure!

sandypheet, Sep 5, 6:00pm
Yes there will be,all fails are required to be entered in the system.

falcon15, Sep 5, 8:09pm
Yes when it fails it is entered into the system. when you take it somewhere else regardless of if its a day later or a year later when the next inspector enters in there pass or fail it will show them if it passed or failed its last inspection and if failed it will give a vague list of what it failed on

suplyuparts, Sep 5, 8:54pm
It doesnt say what it failed on,will just say it failed,an you cant take it to another WOF shop in those 28 days if it failed, you will have to wait before the 28 days are up,before taking it to another shop for a WOF.

a.woodrow, Sep 5, 8:57pm
Rubbish. It lists the categories it failed in e.g. suspension, glazing etc

twinroses, Sep 5, 9:07pm
Negative you can get a check every hour if you can afford it until it passes ,i do around 6500 inspections a year personally, since 1971 and have never had reason to fail a bike for glazing

a.woodrow, Sep 5, 9:10pm
Yep glazing is for cars not bikes, it was an example. and you can get as many checks as you like. All fails are logged under their categories

LOL, where did you get that information from! Its completely incorrect, post 9 is the only one that has got even close to explaining how it all works.
