Help installing new stereo into car

vtecintegra, Oct 1, 5:13am
Is that even designed as a car stereo! Sure doesn't look like it

andrea_w, Oct 1, 5:14am
Err what is that!
Doesn't look anything like a car stereo.

Just before that plug is. loads of wires. So your old stereo is really no different to the new.
You just need to remove the plug and connect the correct wires to the correct terminals, easy.

Whoever installed the first stereo hasn't got a clue what they're doing either. Messy as hell and exposed speaker wires, tsk tsk.

It's a desktop radio modelled to look like a car radio. It is not a car radio!

Thank you!
You've just confirmed what I thought. it's not a car stereo.
There's one born every minute eh hahahahaha

ok but i bought it as a car stereo here is the auction number 501873781 as far as he told me its a stereo, he said it would be easy to install, so picked it up then sent email to him asking how to do it he said he could do it for another $20, the first pic the bottom is of the new stereo, not sure what the top part is from tho, and the wires (my current stereo) that plug just plugged into it,

Take it back and get your money back.

andrea_w, Oct 1, 6:27am
That is NOT a car stereo, the seller lied. the seller could also say it's rare and worth $1million. also doesn't make it true.
Do NOT accept the offer of fitting for $20. Return it, period.
If a customer brought that to me, I'd refuse to fit it.

Next time, it could be worth doing at least some homework about what you're buying.

It 'could' be possible that the seller, obviously ESOL, simply does not realise the dfifference!

n1smo_gtir, Oct 1, 10:11am
If it fits in a car, it must be a car stereo.
