Best to set to dwell angle of 30 deg. Should be ok around 14 - 18 thou (o:

Points gap would be around 18 thou on those old bosch distributors, Mercedes sixes had a dwell spec of 34-41 deg, I'd aim for about 36 on a new set of points.
