I've got a factory Kenwood stereo and speakers in my 2004 NZ new Outback and was wondering if I put better speakers in would it improve the sound,our should I add an amp in it as well! Anyone know what size the door speaker are 5inch! I can't replace the stereo with an aftermarket one as its integrated into the dashboard etc. Tks

Usually better speakers improve sounds ,often the car makers put cheap speakers in when new.Take the door panels off to find out speaker size.

You can easily replace the stereo, see rapid radio they have the kits.
