My 1983 Corona occasionally make a humming noise, around the back, lasts about 5 seconds and stops, any ideas!.

It has a mechanical pump, has been replaced. Is there one in the tank!, not shown in the workshop manual.

Its the vent on the fuel tank, tank pressurises a little and then releases through a valve causing a humming or some such noise.

Humming for about 5 seconds at the back is about as accurate as I can get. I guess if I was more accurate I might know what it is.

I bet your fuel tank vent hose is partially blocked
