Would be another good bet, I saw it but didn't recommend as it's a wee way away but they are a good car as a rule. I've found if your buying to a tight budget, you're better to buy local and get it checked out locally, saves wasted $$ if you don't like it or find something wrong

sorry. :)

Haha, look at the chimney in the back ground. I drove my XP up that street once, didn't seam to bad until I had to turn around at the top and looked back down.

It's actually a manual, pretty bullet proof as well, a little less power then the carina though (a little more economical). buying at this end of the market it wouldn't hurt to hold a little $$ back for any minor repairs and a full service to set you on

always faithful.

jmma, Nov 28, 11:30am
Thats pretty rough and if you stretch your budget, you have nothing to spend if needed.

mazda with a ford badge

butterfly2041, Nov 28, 11:32am
what about the Ford, a ol mum owner!

jmma, Nov 28, 11:33am
Don't hold the Ford bit against it, thats quite a nice car.

snoopy221, Nov 28, 11:35am
Actually is that a 1994 ruff rolla or a 1996!

butterfly2041, Nov 28, 11:37am
I'll arrange to view/drive the Toyota and the Ford this week then, thanks so much you ppl are awesome! whats a resonable price reduction to make at these prices $ 200!

harry353, Nov 28, 11:37am
Get a list of things to check and ask the seller about when you look at a car you are interested in. If it checks out ok then ask your local mechanic to check it out. Don't agree to a firm price as there are bound to be thing that need to be fixed. Try not to spend all your money on the purchase because if anything goes wrong you wont be able to get it fixed.

jmma, Nov 28, 11:38am
Its ruff alright, r/r looks dinged up, drivers seat stuffed, missing hubcaps and thats just looking at the photos (o:

harry353, Nov 28, 11:39am
Be hard. $500 and see how it goes. Lots of cars for sale.

snoopy221, Nov 28, 11:40am

jmma, Nov 28, 11:40am
Yes, agree with this, they will always go up from there, but a good starting point.

butterfly2041, Nov 28, 11:42am
'gulp' umm Ill give it a go, not too good at that feels a bit cheeky at a low price. Ill let you all know how it goes, thanks again for the input and warnings :)

jmma, Nov 28, 11:43am
Light van, got no rear seats then (o:

jmma, Nov 28, 11:44am
Go with what you feel comfortable with, but on condition that you are able to have it checked out.

harry353, Nov 28, 11:45am
Don't go in all wimpy. They probably expect to get a lot less for their car. Owners in general will know what is wrong with their car and fear that it will never sell. You have the money and they want that a lot more than their old junker.

butterfly2041, Nov 28, 11:46am
I like the Ford because it looks tidy is manual, and the owner sounds good, the other one looks a bit like a student has owned it,Or is that just me likely to be sucked in by appearances. ill check them both out , do you know a general cost for the garage to look them over!

snoopy221, Nov 28, 11:48am
So did we juss go dooon from 15 ta 12 hundy!

Maybe an hour or a little more, I would expect around $100, cheap insurance though.

harry353, Nov 28, 11:50am
Guessing here. An hour at $80 per.

jmma, Nov 28, 11:51am
And no rear seats, no self parking and it won;t tell the wipers it;s raining $900 now
