We have a couple of 12l mtu engines in our boat one one blew up, we got a huge estimate to get the engine rebuilt, the engine is based in a Mercedes om447la, so we got a price for a brand new Mercedes long block that was way cheaper than the rebuild, was wondering If when mtu maranised the mercedes do they change any of the internals in the block!
