Bet bits oldgastaken out ofdumped fridges . New r12 hasnt been sold for20yearsNo point anyway as there is drop in replacement& no mods required .

Re-gas I think is a couple of hundred, But leak detection and repair could be where the costs go up from there.
Best bet is to go to a specialist and get a quote before they go too far with the repair.

Around $300 - $350 last time i checked. They have to find leaks and stuff and fix it before they put in new gas otherwise, it's just wasting money re-gassing without fixing leak.

Depends where you go, generally its because of a leak. Sometimes it just needs a top up.

there was a deal on deal shrimp a few days ago for $99. otherwise it'l cost around 2-3 hundred.
