Does this look like a good deal?

This is the 2-litre model, with the first-generation Nissan CVT unit. While the later units are in general pretty good, the early CVT's were / are prone to failure, and are an expensive transmission to fix or replace. If you're going to consider this Tino, then you MUST have it checked over by a qualified or CVT-knowledgeable mechanic / inspector. It may be a good one- quite a few are- but more than a few are NOT.

The 1.8 Tino had a regular 4-speed automatic.

The way to tell- apart from the badge on the tailgat that says "Hyper CVT", is the gear select lever will have a little button set into the top of it. A CVT one will say "S" and a non-CVT with say "O/D".

Toyota Ipsum would be my pick in this price range and size.

Good luck!
