meathead_timaru, Mar 11, 6:49pm
How could someone as pathetic as you get under anyone's skin! You really think pretty highly of yourself for someone so obviously thick so you must be ignoring all the evidence. Good for you!

Nip at my heels some more, little doggy!

meathead_timaru, Mar 11, 6:50pm
I had an RX125 at one point - a nice blue one.

granada, Mar 11, 8:51pm
The red ones are faster

wrong2, Mar 12, 1:23am
thats getting a little hard to believe

1-up sure - a double 0's CBR6 will do that easy

gunhand, Mar 12, 1:36am
2003 CBR600RR,115bhp, top speed 257kph, interestingly the same top speed as its older but bigger brother CBR900RR in 1992 and it had 124hph. And a 2004 CBR1000RR has 170bhp and tops out at 290ishkph.

tazcsv, Mar 12, 3:36pm
It was around a 2004 model i think and from what i can remember it was a ex honda team track bike that had some go fast bits, my friend brought it and had it put on the road in 2006.

pge, Mar 12, 3:50pm
GS850G, fifth gear wound full-out.

I have NO idea what speed, I was too busy.

It had 4into1, megaphone no baffles, sounded glorious!

meathead_timaru, Mar 12, 4:09pm
Damnit! I knew I should have road tested one of them too!

oversize, Mar 12, 6:28pm
no I think the fastest I have ever done on a motorbike is about 5kph

flockton55, Mar 13, 3:42am
My 1982 Katana 750SZ can still approach its original top speed of 209-214Km/h. Owned for nearly 20 years, only 76000 Km. Still loves the corners, especially with modern rubber. Good clean fun for an old man of nearly 60. Favourite rides, Akaroa, Leader Rd (Parnassus to Waiau). Even gets respect from young fellows on Hayabusas, FireStorms, assorted Ducatis, that I ride with.

sas777, Mar 13, 4:16am
Oh my God, just how oversized are you!

rednsr, Mar 13, 4:38am
Any Body ridden a Yamaha R7!

I have to say that trying to "crack the ton" in 1971 at the tender age of 15 on my"new" (old worn out) 58 T100Pre Unit was one of the greatest and most memorable moments of my life.
I arrived home with eyes like saucers, blue pipes and a stinking hot oily motor crackling with escaping heat; all my dear old Dad (an ex square for Ariel owner) did was wink at me and say "let's not tell ya Mum'.

oliver6, Mar 13, 5:26am
I first cracked the ton in 71 on an A7 Kawasaki 350 Avenger, along with my brothers on a T500 Suzuki, a CB750 ( 1969) and then I progressed to a GT750 waterbucket, an RD350, Mach 111, H2, Kawasaki Z650, GS 750, GS1000, GSX1100 etc etc. I now have 9 motorcycles and am not into speed, but riding.

sr2, Mar 13, 5:57am
Wow, and with your brothers as well. I'm currently bike less (although have the use of a friends 1200 BMW) but am looking at maybe one more dirt bike before I hang up the helmet.

oliver6, Mar 13, 6:07am
I have a KTM 300EXC 2 stroke, and a Sherco 320 trials bike 4 stroke, as well as a KTM LC4 640 Adventure, a KTM Lc4 640 Enduro, a Ducati 1100 Hypermotard, and an MV Augusta. One of my brothers has a BMW 1200, good bike, he took it round Sth America with us, it handles all conditions.

kaituna, Mar 13, 6:58am
Just over 300 on a Hayabusa. I feel that it could have gone faster.

pnh4, Mar 13, 10:22am
silly to be riding fast & looking down anyway.

klrider, Mar 13, 2:06pm
270kphindicated, ZZR1100, tekapo. To old for that lark now.

rednsr, Mar 13, 3:24pm
Lots of lies on this thread

kwaka5, Mar 13, 3:32pm
Thats about closer to the truth rednsr :)

jmma, Mar 13, 3:36pm
Nah, Its just the like the lads telling their fishing stories, More they tell it, the bigger the fish gets (o:

doug207, Mar 13, 6:43pm
I almost broke the speed limit once, but it seemed too dangerous after seeing that ad with the Camry crashing.

One day I'll be a big boy and do 105km/h
