My Surf does things I don't like - for example if its dark, it turns on the headlights when I start it.Also it locks the doors automatically when the motor is turned on.Don't like a vehicle making decisions for me - can these type of features be re-programmed !thanks & cheers.

Do you,per chance, have a Dynatron alarm! Mine used to lock the doors, when key turned on, but I rang them and they told me how to disable this. Called, anti-hijacking, I believe.

Yea that's not factory. it will have an after market alarm fitted

Well, thats interesting about the Dynatron (which it is) - i'll give them a call.And because there was no handbook with it, I didn't know about the "Auto" feature!There are 3 switches on lower dashboard, the one in the middle has a light symbol on it - but I thought that was for the foglights, but maybe not.Thanks for the advice, very helpful.

1996 surf. nah no auto funtion on them factory. it's all about that alarm
