Taumarunui to Tatu via River Road. Has any reader recently driven over this roadif so how good is it and is it all sealed

Have done the Gentle Annie before and loved it also! My dad had an old friend who lived in Napier who would come visit us in Taumarunui every now and then. and he would do the trip over the Gentle Annie. in his early 80s Lada 2102 wagon!

I had a friend who lived half way up Kururau road so we explored quite a bit around there and River road. We as kids would also go out to Ohura frequently to go swimming. Even did a BMX bike race out there once! Also had a friend who was teaching at Matiere and lived on Ohura road and would take the Okahukura Saddle road out there.

This Whare is not on Moawhanga Marae, Its on the other side of the road, down the hill. Sort of behind the Hall. We restored it a few years ago, had a ton of fun doing it and refreshing at the New Taihape.
