Hi
Would like to sell my car great condition no damage
1600cc hatch back 96 has done 68000km how much do you think this is worth!

kcf, Feb 25, 7:04pm
Ballpark about $4k using wild stab in the dark guesstimation techniques.

msigg, Feb 25, 8:57pm
Yea older car with very low mileage, will appeal to a few, as above seems about right. Those things go forever if serviced .

What model!didnt the VZR come in around then, if that could be worth more. does it have vtec yo.

nzman89, Feb 26, 1:25am
It is the XRI however no vtec

kazbanz, Feb 26, 1:45am
I think youll ask 4k and get 3k

tgray, Feb 26, 10:50pm
Worth more than $3k Kaz - it's a 60k car!
I sell a lot of this type of car and if it's in good nic, it's $4k.

Agree, its got to be $4000 and I think it would be easy to sell at that. If its a five door it might even get more. I'd be trying it at $4500.

(Sorry to temporarily hijack your thread OP). As a ballpark figure do you know what a decent condition 98 VZR Autech Pulsar would go for! 144000km. It's the 1600cc model.

hey the wonderfull thing is nzman can auction it and see what he gets

morrisman1, Feb 27, 6:40am
about 5g puddleduck, depending on how much its been stuffed around with.

puddleduck00, Feb 27, 7:46am
Cheers Morris. It's completely standard as far as I know. Was trying to decide whether to sell it, it's not so good on gas for a 1.6L. Had a buggered O2 sensor replaced, new plugs and a 'tune up' which improved things, but it still only gets ~400km off about 43 litres. Nice looking cars but fairly gutless and thirsty IMO.

morrisman1, Feb 27, 8:20am
They are normally pretty good on gas but their short ratio gearbox doesn't help. o2 is the main thing, sometimes better just to unplug it and de-cat the exhaust. Id be interested to see what the 'tune up' consisted of. There really is nothing to do apart from give the MAF sensor a clean. You should be getting around 7.5L/100km combined out of it, unless of course you are using all of the 175 ponies, then it will likely drink.

price clues on our 1997 maxima se nz new in plum, done 107ks, owned since new, better than s, sl, and s touring just no leather, insurance is at 5k reduced value, is thata reasonable sum to cover it for.
