Do these need to run 95/98 octane or should they be okay on 91!

Not 91. 98 is the best option since we don't have 105 octane here

NEVER EVER run a GDI Mitsi on 91 (long term) The eco emission systems clog up on anything less then 105 (Japan) but it's a progressive thing getting shorter time spans as you run a lesser grade.
Theres only really 2 fix's for a clogged GDI system.
Get rid of it Strip it down & CLEAN (heads off/ manifolds etc CLEANED

Min 98 .if feels a little like it surging a little bit the manifold is getting gummed up.only cure is to remove and clean out.if you don't the motor pressures and burns oil and blows oil seals.
