I'm have my eye on several holden rodeo utes year 2000 they seem to be mostly around the 230,000 km mark petrol 3.2L, just wondering how economical they would be and what mileage would you expect it to do in it's lifetime?

Not economical, lifetime mileage would depend a lot on how well they are serviced.

My 3.2 v6 gets 10L per 100km around town. I also have lpg which is similar, possibly a bit higher but cheaper to buy. Mine has done about 267000km's and other than a few ticky tappets never m7sses a beat.

That's not too bad, i'm used to driving a falcon so all good

Yeah considering its 15 year old technology, I think its acceptable.

Oh btw: mine is a 2wd single cab, 5 speed. Not sure what type you've been looking at.

I had a 2001 diesel Rodeo. It was great, kept it serviced religiously and sold it at 425 k's . I then bought the 2008 model which is nice as well although surprisingly not as economical.

I wonder how many have noticed that the TV ads running that are promoting ute sales list the price PLUS GST and ORC in an effort to make them look cheap to buy
I wonder how many ute sales are made to buyers not registered for GST

golfdiver diesel? dpf use a lot of fuel dumped in to the exhaust to constantly burn off the carbon in the dpf as where a 2001 wont do this as its got no dpf.

The simple fact is that most new utes are bought by businesses.

They are really really thirsty. workmate had a 2000 3,2 and it used more gas than the bosses v8 commy
