Hi. Can anyone tell me what that in the photo is? It was hanging near the window washer bottle of my '96 mirage hatchback. I unplugged it but the horn and washer motor still go.

(I ran over a cone that was knocked over)

Looks like a movement sensor for an alarm. maybe

clark20, Jun 22, 7:13pm
Yep, not an OE part, part of an aftermarket alarm or similar

oe stuff has housings where is the housing?
well pull the horn and washer fuse for now.

also i only see 2 wires b+ and gnd that means power goes to it like this it will do basically nothing would need a more close up shoot to make more sense looks like wires near the chip holes would be where the output controll wires would be.
b+= battery plus gnd= ground on a wiring diagramm

Plug looks genuine, regulator?

Can you tell us what is written on the top of the integrated circuit chip - can't read it from the photo - knowing what this is will give us a clue on what it does.

There's a little white plug on the left for something

clark20, Jun 23, 6:13am
Nah, just a cheap aftermarket one

marte, Jun 23, 8:23am
Do this. Google the part number and it will tell you what it does.

It is the controller for the intermittent wipers

I haven't forgotten this but I'm rushing around.
It was down by the radiator so I'm guessing not for the wipers but I'll see if intermittent still works.

The car did have an alarm. Maybe this was the horn wailer.
I can't see a part number. Only H7.

The chip says GB 2860A
9430F

was it plugged in ?

The B+ and GND wires were plugged in but the white socket was not. But the circuit was only hanging on by the wires when I noticed it because I went over a road cone.
