Early Citroen South Island

Have a friend with Light 15 which needs driveshaft done apparently requiring a special tool. Know of anyone in South Island good with Citroens?

Citroen car club worth a try. I know a retired bloke in Nelson who can do these but only his own.
Assume it's the cv joints are knackered which is very common on these and often replaced with newer more robust units.m

any automotive engineering shop will be able to handle it

This isn't my car but I have had my share of less common machinery and wary of any automotive engineering shop learning how to do it at my expense. Apparently the universals require special tools.

There's a guy in New Plymouth who collects and restores Citroens. If you contact the Citroen Car Club they will be able to put you in touch with him. I have met him - hell of a nice guy.

To fit most universal joints a 6" vice will normally do the job.
