Park lights

I have just replaced my park lights with LED ones but they don't seem to be working? The old ones work and the LED ones work when you press the try me button on the packet they come in, Why would they not work when plugged into park light socket?

Are they backwards? Can you turn them around in the socket?

Not sure . Are the recognized by the car computer . may have to have a resistor type LED bulb.

Sounds like cheap LEDS that aren't dropping voltage from 12 v to less than 3 need to wire in resistors to reduce voltage. Go see your local jaycar they usually pretty good with making the required calculations for this

Reasons they wont work.
polarity is wrong [not likely]
already gone boof [not likely]
park lights not turned on [likely]

Swapped them round and what do you know it works, even though I unplugged them and plugged them back in a few times just didn't think to turn them around.

Thanks for your help guys.
