got a wof check done a few days ago and failed on a few things one being a engine oil leak unsure where that is leaking from yet but i drove home yesturday and i noticed a fair bit of water leaking when i looked under the car was a bit further back than the radiator left hand side of the car would it be the water pump?

panicky, Jan 23, 7:19am
Sure it wasn't the aircon?

msigg, Jan 23, 7:19am
Yes sounds like the water pump in that spot.

056cripz, Jan 23, 7:22am
deary me that's not good is it. is that a wof thing to the water pump? is that a hard thing to fix? i know not a good idea driving it if that is bung.

056cripz, Jan 23, 7:26am
how will i tell if it is the water pump will the water vanish out of the radiator?

curlcrown, Jan 23, 7:29am
Engine oil leak is not usually a WOF fail unless it is extreme or leaking onto exhaust.

jmma, Jan 23, 7:32am
What colour was the water? Left hand side, would that be as far back as the passengers foot well. Did you have the air cond on?
What is the vehicle,?

056cripz, Jan 23, 7:36am
yes oil is leaking onto exhaust as i can smell it real bad inside the car while i'm driving and water was clear and yes i have been using air con allot as it is so hot this time of year. was leaking around about where the front wheels are that far back on engine left hand side

jmma, Jan 23, 7:42am
Water leak sounds like normal draining from air cond, nothing to worry about.
Now what is the vehicle?

056cripz, Jan 23, 8:11am
is a worry to me haha, just a toyota.

jmma, Jan 23, 8:18am

056cripz, Jan 23, 8:23am
well i hope it is normal just never noticed it before
thanks

Not many do, and if you have to ask, you are in that class.

Ten bob to a knob of goats turd, it will be the AC drain.

gmphil, Jan 23, 7:10pm
lookin under car on left hand side so u mean drivers side yea?

jmma, Jan 23, 9:11pm
That would be the right hand side?

056cripz, Jan 24, 12:56am
i drive from the right side of car passengers are on the left lol.

kazbanz, Jan 24, 1:02am
Ok lets go SLOOW
What is the year /make/model of the car?
Are you putting antifreeze into the radiator/coolant tank or running straight water ?
If it has antifreeze in it-red or green then if the water leak is clear you know its not a coolant leak.

056cripz, Jan 24, 8:04am
i have coolant in the radiator green it's been in there for the last few years iv'e never had to refill it, 1990 camry

jmma, Jan 24, 8:12am
Now what colour was the water on the ground?

Pppsstt, might be time for a Service. (o:
