I've got the earlier (petrol) version of this ute, which is coming up to 360 thou, and still flies through warrants. Look after them, and they'll look after you!

Chain drive all though at that milage the chain and tensioner is due for replacement

I've heard of 4M40's stripping timing gears too. But if it's not noisy and running really smooth then I probably wouldn't worry.

My 1990 L200 d/c ute 2.6 petrol still going strong, had it from new, AMI value it at $3,200 - after 265000k with hardly any problems I will keep it till one of us dies.
