Hi I have a Mitzi Pajero 1991 3lt soft top pajero. It is starting fine but seems to be dropping a cylinder while driving, it also every now and then gives a small back fire.
Would it be spark plugs or HT leads or is it impossible to tell, thanks in advance.

Yes highly likely, tracking in the distributor cap could also cause that problem.
