2005 holden cruze, good bad or ugly?

gunhand, Oct 13, 6:44pm
Not for me, but was asked if I knew anything about them. I don't. Bout all I know is it's, not a Holden as we know it.
A 20 yo female is looking at it. Price 7k with 127000kms on it. 1500cc auto.
Are these based on something else?
And no, it doesn't have to go from 0 to 100 in 3 seconds or out handle a Ferrari, or tow a boat or Kenworth. Just has to work really.
But, are they a time bomb in waiting?
Thank you all.

Is that the previous Cruze, a 4wd Suzuki ignis cousin? Tall and thin.

franc123, Oct 13, 6:59pm
Yes a Suzuki Ignis I think it was, there are as you no doubt know already a reasonable number of Chev badged used imports about too. Haven't heard of any reason not to buy one, I wouldn't however be paying 7k for one with that many kms, its worth 5 on a good day.

Different vehicle. GM have used the Cruze name on at least three technically unrelated cars that I know of.

Possably talkin about bit later ones than this one. I know someone who got a new one about two years ago, if that, been faultless and they like it.

Wrong model - the 2005 were - as mentioned above - Suzuki Ignis based (& built) for General Motors (not just Holden)
