Dangerous and inconsiderate driving

The ONLY person responsible if there Had been a crash, is the ute driver.

Says a lot all by it's self

purplegoat, Sep 19, 9:23am
You just don't get it do you ,
If the morons in the 4WDs had left adequate space between each other rather than being up each other's ass then the ute driver could have picked them off safely one by one and carried on his way . Ignorant righteous twats is the nicest way to describe them

mmmmmmkay **Reading and Comprehension 101**

He was towing a friend in a convoy of five four-wheel-drives when a Plumbing World ute overtook three vehicles in one go

mmm convoy of FIVE. ute overtook THREE.

purplegoat, Sep 19, 9:31am
Excellent own goal dear snoopy . lol
Read the article nice and slowly .

And regardless of if was three or five you are still an ignorant and inconsiderate twat if you you drive in a convoy like that without consideration for others .

snoopy221, Sep 19, 9:43am
the twats in the 4WDs are a pack of inconsiderate knobs
Travelling well below the speed limit
Well if ya need ta go ta specsavers?
Or if ya lookie at da white lines and da gap in front
How do ya deduce that the 4x4's are travelling at **well below the speed limit**
mmmmmmmmm
And it does NOT state *A* Frame rigid-or rope towing.

First one.

At some poor buggers funeral.

Video appears to be a year old.

bumfacingdown, Sep 19, 12:02pm

bumfacingdown, Sep 19, 12:10pm
So, the over taker has no responsibility because its all the fault of the 4x4s, try a defensive driving course and the ute driver would not have found himself in that position no matter how "wrong" the others were

db.price, Sep 19, 12:22pm
I is you that doesn't get it.

You have made a number of massive assumptions based on the article. You have no idea how long the ute driver was behind them. They may have pulled over had there been room to do so - there wasn't at that point in the road. The weather was shocking and gap or no gap the ute should never have tried to pass there.

trogedon, Sep 19, 1:01pm
It happens a lot in Ponsonby.

purplegoat, Sep 19, 1:56pm
Suggest you reread my opening post where I said the UTE driver is a tool .
The point of this thread is to highlight the inconsiderate behaviour of the twats in the 4WD's

purplegoat, Sep 19, 1:57pm
No assumptions at all Freddy , the gap from Mr Dashcam to his bum buddy is totally inadequate and anybody with a pair of eyes can see that .
Twats that have no consideration to others behind them are exactly that .

bumfacingdown, Sep 19, 1:59pm
I stand corrected, one comment about the twat of a ute driver (who hopefully has lits of explaining to do to his boss)and the rest of your posts about the 4x4 drivers.
Crux of the matter is that ute driver should have never been where he was no matter what the 4x4 drivers were doing

purplegoat, Sep 19, 2:08pm
And I don't disagree with that . The point I was making is the 4WD's inconsiderate driving , something that is all too common on NZ roads
To many selfish and righteous twats on our roads

henderson_guy, Sep 19, 2:11pm
Bloody hell, this is just like the kaimai roadworks thread all over again *facepalm*

bumfacingdown, Sep 19, 2:12pm
At that point (by the way we agree on the ute driver to a degree) passing anything would have been a bad choice

ema1, Sep 19, 3:00pm
If you think they are inconsiderate twats as you say the 4WD folks are, why in hell get involved with them then, that is also courting possible disaster, frankly I'm not one to chance my arm and get involved with a likely crash scenario, I like to keep my distance in circumstances like that particularly in weather like that shown there and the narrow road they were on.
If you suspect inconsiderate twats in any situation try and avoid them by keeping your distance even to the point of pulling over until the roadway is comparatively clear again !
Your life may well depend on it, it's a matter of summing up quickly whatever situation happens to be there ahead of you or indeed behind you and assess and adjust accordingly, not to go on a road rage type rant when courteous responsible thoughtful driving skills should be the foremost course of action.
It's prudent to distance yourself from any developing situation. not going nuts at all in sundry and opportioning blame, sensible considerate thinking involving any situation possibly developing is paramount, just don't assume all is going to be OK, often things change at the blink of an eye and that's why folks need to be at their most attentive at all times when driving.
Going off half cock isn't the wise idea for any driver. in fact they are damn dangerous full stop.

zak410, Sep 19, 3:06pm
I think drivers that get all emotional and swear abuses at other drivers are the dangerous ones;
keep cool while driving is the key.

mrfxit, Sep 19, 4:48pm
You just don't get it do you ,
If the moron in the Ute had waited for adequate space to pass rather than being a right royal impatient twat, he could have avoided putting everybody in danger.
Ignorant righteous twat is the nicest way to describe him.

mber2, Sep 19, 5:03pm
And how many drivers on NZ roads do just that.

mrfxit, Sep 19, 5:11pm
IF it is SAFE to do so.

ignition328, Sep 19, 7:04pm
Until last month I'd never had a proper incident on the road that involved anyone else; only incidents I'd had were from rally sprints on closed roads.

Rear ended 3 times. 3 separate people hit me in under a month, insurance thought I was taking the piss the 3rd time. I even had one slip off the brake at a red light and accelerate into me then blame me "for reversing into her". The other 2 were just way too close to me while moving, I had a 4th guy tailgate me near karaka for a few km; I followed him to the golf course and lay into him and he basically blamed me for "not keeping up with the car in front" which in the rain with a proper following distance baffles me.

There seems to be an entire sect of NZers that tailgate and not only that they justify that anyone not doing it is holding them up by not occupying that space directly behind the car. Blows my mind.

Nevermind, I don't discriminate and welcome anyone that will pay the way to restoring my car panel by panel.

Suggest you fxit your spectatcles , right back in the very first post I said the ute driver is a tool for his overtaking . This thread is about the inconsiderate twats in the 4WD's . next time read the threads before making a fool of yourself
