2005 Toyota Porte Stereo Replacement

A charity I volunteer for would like to replace their Japanese stereo to a NZ stereo. Would like something that can connect with GPS and a mileage app that I can access remotely to download into Excel for IRD purposes.

A reverse camera would be great. Does a lot of driving from North Shore to South Auckland. Has just upgraded phone to Vodafone Smart 11 (Alcatel 1S 2020) Android 10.

Please can I get recommendations on what unit is best to achieve this and where to get fitted? Thank you for any assistance you can offer.

Use the Waze app, that can track and store your mileage while you are driving.

Thinking a little further; a mileage app that can connect with Xero Accounting?

Another thought; the person using this found programming radio stations difficult so I am now thinking these car systems might be too advance? He knows how to use a smartphone so is it possible to get his old smartphone wired in using the car speakers for stereo? Old phone is Vodafone Smart Ultra 6.

Sorry, I was supposed to say get his old smartphone permanently installed and wired in using the car battery? I think Bluetooth speakers would do the job to replace a stereo?

Go to sound around and fit a JVC double din head unit with reverse for about $650 installed. They will stream GPS from the phone. --I dunno about vehicle tracking though

Thanks everyone. I'll look into all these options. :-)
