Bleeding a Cooling system

Hi people,
i've recently flushed the cooling system on my 95 Caldina (3SFE). everything works fine except I'm getting a gurgling sound when my heater is on - so obviously an airlock in the heater core. Any ideas for sorting this out! i have parked the car on a steep hill, with the readiator cap off and at the highest point, and ran the car for about 10 mins (after it was already hot), and this didnt really seem to sort it out.

Did you try bleeding it with the heater on full.

And you ran it with the cap off until the thermostat opened then topped it up before putting the cap on and turning it off!

Correct. however i only assume that the thermostat opened after it running for 10 odd minutes. the thermostat should be good as i changed it with the flush. it didnt seem to need a top up. so perhaps the air just hasnt bled out.

Jack the front of the car up as high as you can and start again.
