car has a slight shudder at idle while in drive but smooth thoughthe gears, maybe just needs a a/t fluid flush! what you guys think!

What are the revs at idle! If a bit low/variable, then probably the common ( to toyota ) gummed up IACV in the throttle body, and nothing to do with the trans.Easily fixed.

its revs in gear are more like 500-600ish in drive

Clean out your T/B and IAC valve with some carb cleaner.
