Should be directly above it (or at the front) I remember it looks like a bolt. Near the bracket that braces onto it. And you fill it like you do with any manual trans. With a 500ml hand pump. you can pick them up at most automotive places.
As for Michaels question (ct9a has had enough chance to put his input as the honda tech here who replaced me) Those trans did creep away on you. Its part of the reason I love the manual better. They are a smooth trans but as they get older the clutch packs did tend to wear quicker. Keep the ATF as clean as possible. Flushing it every 40k to avoid any more wear. Slipping in 2nd isintuncommon in that model hence why they kick down again more often. Regards Anton

hi, my clutch has lost pressure, and i think it may have a fluid leak as there is no fluid in the resivoir . How much do you think a clutch fluid change will cost! and is it ok to drive around in it for a day or two before i take it to a workshop! or will that be doing it damage (clutch still works, just engages really early and has bugger all pressure). cheers

Checked my fluid today, its quite brownish in color. There was also a bit of steam coming off my bonnet when I turned it off! Temps were normal though.

Any idea where to get roof racks for a 2005 Honda CRV model. Would racks that go across the roof between 1996 and 2011 fit this model!

Not a massively common problem. But yes I have seen it happen a few times. The EGR valve in that model civic was a newish design for Honda and they did have a couple of issues. Yea a new EGR valve isint cheap. Its a really easy fit tho. You may be able to pick up one after market a bit cheaper. Have a look around. Regards Anton

Bottle of brake fluid and a 5 min job to bleed the system. If there is a leak it may come from the slave cylinder so I would be checking the boot around the slave cylinder. There cheap as chips these days. Pop down to BNT with chassis number year model etc and you should be able to pick one up for about 20 bucks. (Cant remember exact price.) That's if it is your slave cylinder (sounds like it)

Did you run through any puddles. Any oil fall onto your exhaust. A few things will cause steam. There cronic for the radiator top tank cracking, that can cause it. Honestly there are alot of reasons. Take a hunt around. See if you can find any leaks or anything suspect.

Great car. Id be going the 2l. Good economy good power. Nice car to drive. And from what I know there pretty cheap too.

Is it early 2005 or late 2005 if its late 2005 its the newer shape and the latest ones will fit it. if its early 2005 the racks from the 2003-2005 will fit it. (edit) as for where you can get one from. Aftermarket maybe or Go to honda and get one priced up. Or go to wreckers and try find one. Ya just need to hunt around.

There a good car depending on how much you want to spend. If you dont have alot there is the 2.3l or 3l v6. if you have around 15k you can get one of the later model ones with the 2.4l iVtec motor. there really quite nice. I enjoy driving them.

Shouldn't have too much trouble doing it yourself. under 50 bucks and takes less than an hour to do it and bleed the system

Hey antwerp, not getting any steam now. It was just water droplets dripping onto the hood of the car when I parked under the veranda I think.
My transmission has now become nearly non drive-able. I'm getting it serviced on thursday @ the gearbox factory, until then I think I'm gonna have to leave it at home - it's struggling to change down gears, struggling to accelerate, such a pain in the @55. As said up there, transmission fluid was brown and smelt a bit burnt I think. Not good.
Didn't run through any puddles, couldn't find anything suspect either.

Hi Antwerp, Does a Civic 2002 d17A engine have a cam belt or chain! I was told chain, but now don't think that is correct & that this is only in later ones.
