It has a green light on the dash that lights up when the turbo is boosting, but suddenly the light is not going and the vehicle is so slugish, it's like the turbo is not working. I have tken the hose off and the spindle turns freely without any bearing wobble, am i missing something obvious here !

wastegate stuck open or a large leak somewhere between the turbo and the inlet manifold. start it up, if you block the inlet (ie turbo inlet), it should stall, if it doesnt, it has a leak

There might be a boost leak or the exhaust wheel on the turbo has decided to give up and fell off. Is there any odd noises etc! Or is there just nothing
[edit] as above, its worth checking the wastegate too

im sure if you left it outside with the keys in it somebody would soon boost it.
