Go for the good looking Rio then. Its excellent on the petrol for the manual. I was reading the courier mail (Queensland paper) yesterday.The Rio was recommendin the cheap small car category. Volkswagen won most of the awards in the other categories.

Well if you can afford the Rio go for it. A great car and you should be able to get them to sharpen their pencils for a cash deal. Should be able to get them to cut at least $1k off.

My Mo in law bought a Picanto and I drove it from Auckland to Whakatane and it really impressed me with the power it has for such a small engine and even with the A/C on doesn't make much difference to the power.Hers was the 1100cc auto as well.

Polo is a bigger car - whole Idea is that we want something that will fit better in the garage as well as being good in town and super good on fuel.
May also be a toss up between the Picanto and the Swift Ltd now.
For those pushing the Fiesta or Mazda 2 - Ford won't talk turkey on the price so they get excluded automatically.I suspect the Vw will be the same.
