Has developed a short and blows the fuses at least i think thats what the problem is any ideas why!

Can you elaborate a LOT more please. what fuse(s) does it blow! Under what conditions does it blow! Have you touched any wiring on the car recently! Just a random guess. an aftermarket stereo has once been fitted and the factory stereo has been reinstalled. there is some dodgy wiring behind the stereo that needs insulating.
I'm off to work, someone else in the know will hopefully be along to help out once you have answered the above questions!
