okso here is the prob, our mazda is clicking on right hand turning sounds just like a cv joint click, we have replaced both outter cvs and still have the darn noise so we thought inner.wen u pull them out can u tell from moving them or do they only make noise under pressure! and is there anything else that makes the clicking like a cv does on turnin :/

You can check the joint by rocking / twisting the driveshaft back and forth whilst holding the inner joint with your other hand. There should be virtually no freeplay, but even then it can be hard to tell. You can also pull the joint apart, clean every part thoroughly, and check for wear. This takes time and it's messy. I have heard of a Ford Telstar once with the notorious clicking noise, and after the CV joint faults were eliminated, it ended up being the gearbox (transaxle).

thanks heaps we will do left side inner tomo see what happens with the play on it, we checked the inner right to day it had no play
