Hi there, Im looking at getting a 05 KDX 200 road lega. Ive seen road lighting kits on ebay. But does VTNZ have anything to say about specific dirt bikes being able to be road registered. Any info would be great thanks!

it will have to pass a noise test
but ive only gotten dirt bikes legal that were already sold as such by the factory so i cant say what else. i just put back on what the factoryput on in the first place

Yeah I see there is a kdx 220 road legal on here so maybe its possible!

I have a feeling it depends on what conditions it was brought in under. i.e. some bikes can never be made road legal, Im sure someone will correct me if im wrong, or list the requirements for you shortly

Its two stroke would that meet emissions and noise requirements! does it even have a battery if not it would even be a big job to power the electrics

Just rang VTNZ and they said as long as I have proof that it was originally purchased in NZ its possible. I need to get a piece of paper signed by a kawasaki dealership with the corrosponding frame number
