Toyota 4y and 22r motors,Carbs

Carburettors"is a 22R Carby compatible with a 4y motor,,not sure about jet sizes and mountiing points,any thoughts.

They are two very different engines. One's an OHC, the other OHV, so I really don't know if there are any similarities. However, you can get EFi for both, but it's a lot of effort to change over.

Allready confirmed the 22r is a carburettor configuration,just thoughts on the compatiblty with the 4y motor

Yes, I know, I'm not stupid and can read. So you want a 22R carb on4Y motor, right! Have you already got both engines! If so, pull the carbs off and check the flange fitment. I doubt they are the same, and if that's the case, you are out of luck.

I'm amazed,a simple question,,are the two compatible carburettor wise,i have a 4y and not the 22r,but i have access to 22r should i require,i know the 4y is 2.2 cc and the 22r is 2.4cc,perhaps this is the wrong forum to get the imformation required,
