Water/Meth injection on a turbo diesel engine

The theory is very simple. The injection of water cools the intake air thus making it more dense with a resultant increase in the amount of Oxygen available for the big bang to follow.
The practical implementation can be somewhat more complicated due to the risks if you get it wrong, as Jazz has pointed out. Mixtures of Water and Methanol are injected in to very high performance aero engines for anti detonationpurposes.

Check out LPG injection. There are some good kits you can order from ozzy, quite a simple system. Might work out cheaper/easier.

Cheers for all that, only reason im looking into it is I do tow heavy loads on a regular basis and have observed egt's creaping up abit to the point i need to back off. Ive had the fuel pump tweaked and it is running 15-18psi main advantage is that it keeps EGT's down as a result allowing me to run more boost safely and achieving better fuel economy, I will look into this LPG injection aswell
