they dont crash well. they crumple really badly and ended up in a V shape.
(was 100km into back of two stationary cars (side by side) on SH1 while towing a ride on lawnmower on a trailer)

The american highway research group (I dont know if thats exactly what they call themself, but they crash test a lot of cars) gave the 3rd gen an occupant safety rating of 'very good' - its one of only a few cars ever to rate that high.
Search 'legacy crash test' on youtube, the video is on there

Yeh - you are wrong. The B4 can be anything, so long as it's got Bilstein shocks.

ok well thats what my brothers one ended up looking like. he was fine only had whiplash maybe its how they design them to crumple, i dunno and dont hope to find out. but his was so not pretty looking afterwards

No your not mad they are a great car thats why there are so many on the road , just get your local mechanic to check it out if your worried , I have a B4 and it has never let me down , pretty economical as well . As long as you have it regually serviced it will be fine .
