Whats my mitsi VR4 worth

Really! I've had mine 2.5 years and done 15,000kms in it and I've had to do nothing really other than scheduled servicing. Granted I am in the process of replacing the turbo, because it looks like the original turbo ingested something and damaged a couple of the compressor blades, having said that it is costing less than $500 all up to have a rebuilt turbo with genuine Mitsubishi parts, and a larger compressor wheel/housing.

I have mine insured for $9k cover, the excess is $800, and my premiums are under $300. I do however have to keep it locked/alarmed in my garage when not in use (no problem, it is anyway), and do no more than 5,000kms a year (which is fine, because I don't use it much these days).

also, have no idea how I missed this thread, someone should have brought it to my attention. Having said that I'm finding myself coming here even less and less.

jandal90, go see 51 Coupes and Classics if you haven't already - they specialise in bringing in nostalgic 70s/80s Japanese cars and selling them (at over-the-top prices, mind you). They could easily give you a valuation for a figure which would be both high, and perhaps close to what it's worth.

PS, I am officially asking that if you were to sell for whatever reason, I would love to be first in line. It worked for the previous owner of my VR-4, after hounding him for years.

There was 1 on TVserious crash progamme last night all the bells & whistles , bit of panel beating & lick of paint should scrub up for 5-6 $g .

That was a '96 onwards shape '8th generation' Galant VR-4, which ironically along with the 7th generation Galant VR-4 is worth substantially less than the first instance of the VR-4 in the 6th generation Galant. The 6th gen Galant VR-4 was a successful rally car in the late 80s/early 90s, the 6th gen Galant even made a (short lived) appearance in the BTCC in 1991.

Over the few years of production, the 6th gen VR-4 'evolved' with the class rules, and a factory upgraded version called the VR-4 Evolution (and often nicknamed 'Evo 0', because it predates the Lancer Evo and Evo 2 etc) is worth the most out of the lot - there are no less than 11 different variations of the 6th gen VR-4 between the export markets, spec/trim levels, year manufactured and transmission choice.

If a Lancia Delta Integrale of the same era can command serious coin, why can't one of its successful contenders do so either!

what colour is yours, what options does it have (ie sunroof, leather interior, air purifier on rear shelf), and are any parts like the exhaust system, air filter housing, intercooler piping etc all standard still! Often the intake/exhaust are the first things to be modified on them so it's rare to see one with all the original stuff still intact

more so interested just from a curiousity's sake. Mine is black, no sunroof but has leather, just about original everything too.
