13-14 volts will make the cars too fast and hard to drive.we could regear them, but then the motors will over rev. Nothing worst than racing on a track that doesn't have a constant power supply.

Oops, incorrect info in post #28
Ignore the bit about the 'power good' connection - it is the 'power on' lead that needs to be connected to ground to switch the supply on.
The 3.3v sense lead needs to be connected to the 3.3v out as well.
