today i was in town and after turning the car off and going into the shops it would not start unless i roll start it. its turning over as normal but just wont run without a roll start after runing for a while you can turn it off it will start again if you start within a couple of minutes. any ideas on what it will be or what i could check first. car is a 1982 holden gemini 1.6 carby thanks

Could be a arrange of things, firstly check the battery connections, (clean and tight), Also a sparkie would not go a miss most will happily check your charging system for free and load test the battery for you for PR
