4x4's - suspension lifting

What is the legal lift limit without needing certification! If I just replace the coils / shocks (4"lift) will I be ok! all WOF agents say indifferently which is confusing me, dont want to lift it and then find out I cant get a WOF!

legally any lift or lowering needs cert now, but alot a places let that kinda lift slide just as lowering springs slide so long as good job done

I think you will need cert for a 4 inch lift. If you are putting a 4 inch lift in won't you be putting bigger tires on!

Yeah lookin at 31" tyres. If I just put 2 / 3" blocks in on top of the coils will that need a cert too!

Read the WOF VIRM and look at table 9-1-1 for mods allowed and no LVVC required.
Keep in mind though the Police are cracking down on lifted 4wd's now after an accident where someone was killed. So the best thing would be to contact a LVVC certifier and have a chat with them.
