I have heard about the horrors of the earlier Toyota D4 engines. I was told that the newer D4s are able to cope with NZ fuel. I was told that it is as reliable as the GE counterparts.
Those are all just spoken evidence. Can someone give light on how reliable these engines are and how safe they are for use with our petrol!
Also, can any current owner give his/her experience!

I've got one here in a JZX110 Mark 2 that I've had here for 6 months or so, and it's been fine.Very impressed with both power and economy. They require premium fuel, ie, at least 95 octane, but tend to be better on the 98 I think.I've done a bit of open road driving, and a fair bit of round city driving, and the economy has been excellent.Certainly uses less fuel than the GE's, but having said that I still particularly like the 2JZGE 3.0 litre in the older models - they are pretty hard to go past!

I have a problem with 1JZ-FSE Toyoya Mark II. Diagnosis light is always on. It would very much thankful if someone reply possible causes.
